Bacillus Subtilis

Product description

Bacillus Subtilis  is a rod-shaped, gram-positive, spore-forming bacterium. It is non-pathogenic and safe for human consumption qualified as GRAS in the USA and also qualifies QPS criteria according to EFSA. Bacillus subtilis spores are very strong and stable making it the probiotic of choice in the feed, feed and aquaculture industries.

Bacillus Subtilis  is a probiotic that has the potential to improve immune response and growth performance in animals (Poultry / Pigs etc.) and fish. Bacillus subtilis secretes various enzymes (Table 1) which convert complex substrates into readily available nutrients thereby increasing the availability of readily digestible nutrients for animals. This also increases the feed conversion ratio.

Bacillus Subtilis  is considered the most studied Gram-positive bacterium and a model organism in the study of bacterial chromosome replication and cell differentiation.

Bacillus Subtilis  it is often used as a probiotic preparation in the treatment or prevention of intestinal disorders. It is also used for the production of antibiotics, as a fungicide and in alternative medicine.
